Our new partners
As every January, it’s our privilege and pleasure to say “Herzlich Willkommen” to some new and newly upgraded partners. As of 1 January 2021, Berlin Partners and Life Science Factory joined EIT Health’s first-class community and specifically our CLC as Network Partners, whilst Vienna-based high-tech incubator INiTS upgraded to Associate Partner status. Life Science Factory is a brand new life science start-up hub in Göttingen, the birthplace of Sartorius, and aims to establish Göttingen as the “location of choice” for life science start-ups translating research into innovation. Berlin Partners supports healthcare industry companies in moving to or growing in Germany’s capital. For a full list of EIT Health Germany Core, Associate and Network Partners please see here.
Our New and Continuing Projects and Activities
In 2021 EIT Health Germany core partners TUM, Roche, UCB, Profil and Fraunhofer will be continuing to implement ADAPT, iPDM-GO, Seizeit2, RealWorld4Clinic and R2U-Tox-Assay with their pan-European consortia covering over 10 countries, whilst core partner Siemens Healthineers will kick-start a new collaboration with Sorbonne Université, Assistance Publique Hôpitaux de Paris, Institut Català de la Salut and Hannover Medical School to work on a new project called CMR-AI. This project will change the current diagnostic and therapeutic paradigms for aortic disease management by providing precise MRI imaging and automated, workflow-integrated multiparametric image analysis previously unavailable to physicians. If you are ever looking for more details on each of these innovation projects, please click here. We are also delighted that our core partner FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg will once again take the lead in running EIT Health’s MedTech Bootcamp. This programme – now in its fourth edition – is a five-week training programme for European early-stage MedTech start-up teams which aims to build skills necessary during the early stages of launching a business. Also already in its third year, the Start-ups Meet Pharma (SMP) programme will connect start-ups developing innovative health solutions with top European pharma partners to collaboratively address major healthcare challenges. Last year’s programme resulted in 3 NDAs signed and 4 pilots foreseen to be kicked off in early 2021 – all on the back of the five SMP2020 challenges only. Based on this fabulous success and overall impact so far, we are expanding the programme portfolio in 2021, and are delighted to announce that we are launching Start-Ups Meet Healthcare Providers (SMHCP) in early 2021. SMHCP is a challenge-based accelerator programme that brings together promising start-ups with many different healthcare providers from across Europe, such as public/private hospitals, municipal health authorities, and health insurance companies. The programme provides local solutions to global healthcare challenges. Click here for more information on SMP and SMHCP. As in previous year’s EIT Health will also be offering many educational and training programmes. Do check back for more information here in Feb-Mar 2021, once more information is available.
Our New and Continuing Key Account Allocation
With the addition of new partners we are also slightly updating the allocation of our team members to the respective partners. Please take a moment to review this allocation below and find your Key Account Manager who is committed to accompanying you on your individual journey within EIT Health. Please don’t hesitate to contact them with any and all queries you may have, irrespective of which particular pillar or area of EIT Health your query concerns. They will be more than happy to connect you to the right person within the organisation should your query require some more specialist support.
We look forward to working with you in 2021!
