Together through the crisis: opportunities for entrepreneurs and hope for innovations

The European Union is responding to the ongoing health crisis in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic by releasing funding totalling 60 million euros to bridge the current financing gaps of start-ups, scale-ups and SMEs on the one hand, and to create space for innovative new projects that directly address the various challenges in the crisis on the other.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the EIT focuses on two initiatives: One is the “Venture Support Instrument”, which provides not only financial support but also consulting services and Europe-wide networking with experts. The second strategic focus is on the promotion of innovative products, services and technologies that can be used in various areas of the health care system.
