#ProtectUrLife 2019 – The health check for heart and bones

In Germany, about six million people suffer from coronary heart disease and about 6.3 million people suffer from osteoporosis. Both diseases are widespread, but are not widely perceived by the general public. The joint awareness campaign #ProtectUrLife wants to change this.

We would be delighted if you could work with us on clarifying both clinical pictures as part of your reporting. A whitepaper (download) provides an insight into the current situation in Germany as a basis for a discussion about possible preventive measures and for improving care.

In addition, technical papers by EIT Health and Amgen (download) show possible solutions. We are happy to arrange interviews with various experts or provide current studies.

#ProtectUrLife is a joint project of Amgen, EIT Health, Technische Universität München and other partners and will take place this autumn for the second time in five European cities (Lucerne, Malaga, Munich, Paris, Rimini).

At the centre of the campaign is a free health check, which will take place on 15 and 16 November 2019 in Munich’s Isarforum (on Museum Island, Ludwigsbrücke). Visitors can have their risk of cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis tested by medical experts and receive tips on what they can do themselves to prevent it and how they can strengthen their health.

We will be happy to provide you with further information, materials and updates on the campaign – just contact us.
