A new crowdfunding platform aims to network European medical, health and biotech start-ups with investors. The portfolio is growing. The Dutch medical technology start-up Surge-on Medical will have 125 days to collect up to five million euros for the scaling of the company. Surgeons use the company’s market-ready special forceps for minimally invasive knee surgery. The startup has chosen’s new platform for the crowdfunding campaign and is prepared to sell almost 13 percent of its shares in this financing round. On the first day, 18 investors were found who paid in almost 30,000 euros, which corresponds to 0.6 percent of the funding target.
