Each year UBI Global, the Stockholm-based innovation intelligence company and community, releases the top lists of business incubators and accelerators. This year the World Benchmark Study 2019-2020 was officially released during the World Incubation Summit 2019 in Doha, Qatar and EIT Health Accelerator found its place among the three top programmes in the world that were “founded in or after 2016 and stand out from their peers due to impressive overall achievements relative to their age.”

The recognition in the “Most Promising – Young Programme” category of UBI Global’s prestigious ranking of incubators and accelerators worldwide, places EIT Health Accelerator among top global programmes and on that occasion, Dr Kurt Höller, Director of Business Creation at EIT Health, stated: “It is fantastic to be recognized at this stage of the journey for our programme. We’re proud of what we achieved in just three years and the fact that we are able to tangibly demonstrate our performance and impact. The recognition demonstrates that our extensive network – including key mentors, investors and industry players – really does provide the access, exposure and support that promising new ventures need.”

The EIT Health Accelerator is a business creation programme, providing support at every stage of the process – from young entrepreneurs or scientists, to more mature start-ups and SMEs focused on market expansion. Over the past three years, EIT Health has supported more than 400 start-ups and innovative new companies, which in return, have attracted a total of more than EUR 90 million in investment.
