A warm welcome to Manfred Heinzer, Vice President and General Manager of Amgen Germany, as a new member of the EIT Health Germany Supervisory Board representing the DACH region within its 150+ members strong, pan-European EIT Health network.
Manfred Heinzer succeeds Roman Stampfli, Vice President Marketing and Innovation Europe, Amgen Europe, who has represented Amgen as Core Partner within the EIT Health Germany Board so far.
Born in Switzerland, Manfred Heinzer holds a degree in Business Administration and Economics (lic. oec, University of St. Gallen) and has obtained his MBA in Marketing and Corporate Finance (INSEAD Business School). He can look back on a long and international career in pharmaceutical companies (Roche, Gilead Sciences, Glaxo Wellcome PLC, GlaxoSmithKline Pharma) – both as managing director as well as in global management positions for special therapeutic areas such as chronic inflammatory diseases and oncology/hematology.

What is particularly important to you in your role as an EIT Health Germany Supervisory Board member?
Further developing our healthcare system with innovations for the benefit of patients.
What impact does the current situation surrounding COVID-19 have on your work in the Supervisory Board?
The impact of COVID-19 has elevated the interactions of all stakeholders in healthcare to a whole new level in a very short period of time. This will permanently revolutionize and improve our exchanges in the future.
To what extent will your previous professional and personal experience contribute to EIT Health Germany?
Through my broad international pharmaceutical experience and -network, I can assess and actively support innovative approaches from an industry perspective.
