Headstart programme for COVID-19 solutions: Winners list

Climedo Health, Henisaja, Intrepida and ScintHealth will be awarded €50,000 Headstart grant to help alleviate the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year EIT Health expanded the scope of the Headstart programme to assist in the immediate need for solutions to combat COVID-19, and has selected 21 startups that will develop products and services that will help Europe to contain, treat and manage the disease. Among them, 4 were chosen by EIT Health Germany.

On 19 May 2020 EIT Health Germany hosted the online pitch competition for the Headstart programs for COVID-19 solutions. 11 startups made it to the shortlist and pitched their projects in front of an expert jury, composed of Carina Benstöm ( RWTH Aachen) , Gabriele Pestlin (Roche Diagnostics), Juergen Simon ( Siemens Healthineers) and Thomas Hegendörfer (Johnson & Johnson Innovation). The jury selected 4 startups to be awarded the € 50,000 Headstart grant to help alleviate the COVID-19 pandemic. The selected startups will receive access to mentoring and business support to complete their project in the next 6 months.
