EMBL Course Design Thinking: Approaches for Chronic Disease Management – Register now!

EMBL-Stanford Life Science Alliance, Roche Diabetes Care and EIT Health are delivering a course Design Thinking: Approaches for Chronic Disease Management from 8 – 10 June 2020 at EMBL Heidelberg.

Course Overview

This workshop will bring together 30 young professionals and students to learn and apply state-of-the-art design thinking techniques. Over the course of three days small interdisciplinary teams will co-create innovative healthcare solutions for chronic disease management. Each team will take on a specific predefined challenge from the fields of precision health and data driven medicine. Engaging keynote speakers and experienced mentors will guide participants through the process of ideation, prototyping and business planning. Apart from learning new design thinking skills, participants will also have the opportunity to build networks with their peers as well as professionals with diverse backgrounds.

Audience

This course is aimed at Master’s and PhD students as well as postdocs with diverse backgrounds ranging from life sciences, engineering and medicine to entrepreneurship, business, marketing and public health.
