EIT Health Campus Programme Opportunity: “CEMACUBE”
“CEMACUBE” as a part of the EIT Health Campus Programme is a European double degree Master’s programme in Biomedical Engineering that provides students with skills to realise a medical device that can solve a medical problem.
Students in “CEMACUBE”, the Common European Master’s Course in Biomedical Engineering learn by doing as they develop and test new medical devices and work to bring their innovations to market. Working in co-creation with the stakeholders, including patients, medical professionals and members of the industry, students learn to develop prototypes and test them in real-life. Their course work continues with the second part of the process, implementation and commercialisation, as they develop a business plan and prepare for CE certification and a patent application. This work can potentially lead to an application for support through the EIT Health Headstart programme, or even submission as an Innovation Project. The “CEMACUBE” programme is run by Ghent University, RWTH Aachen, Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and Trinity College Dublin in cooperation with many industrial partners, like the EIT Health members Philips, Medtronic and Siemens. To learn more about the program, the requirements for students and deadlines please read here.
The Erasmus Mundus Master’s course CEMACUBE (Common European MAster’s CoUrse in Biomedical Engineering) was initiated In September 2010 under the Erasmus Mundus Programme 2009-2013 of the European Commission and is currently running as a CEMACUBE EIT Innovation & Entrepreneurship Master’s under the EIT Health label.
