Swiss Start-Up ‘SLEEPIZ’ wins 1st Prize in Digital Health category of European Health Catapult 2019
On December 5th, during the EIT Health Summit in Łódz, one of the most promising startups affiliated with the German CLC of EIT Health – Sleepiz – won the first prize in the Digital Health category of the European Health Catapult.
The Swiss startup – one of the regional winners of our Ship for Health Innovation Pitches (S.H.I.P.) back in July 2018 – was awarded with the first prize in the Digital Health category against the backdrop of some pretty serious competition. However, it wasn’t all about competing either: “At Sleepiz we have benefited a lot from interactions with EIT and its network. We appreciate that we got in touch with other startups, relevant businesses and investors. Through our coaches at EIT we were always challenged to improve ourselves, which was highly valuable. For us it was a great journey in the last six months and we ticked a lot of boxes.” said Max Sieghold, CFO at Sleepiz.
Sleepiz develops a sleep disorder screening device using wireless technology to measure vital signs at medical accuracy.
