Dr. Katharina Ladewig, Managing Director of EIT Health UK-Ireland and EIT Health Germany, opened the meeting by highlighting the potential that these cross-CLC meetings can provide. Industry, non-academic and academic Partners from both CLCs led roundtable discussions showcasing their ideas on how to best leverage their organisations’ assets and those of the EIT Health network at large to address Europe’s healthcare challenges of tomorrow. Topics included chronic disease management, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, caregivers recruitment crisis, innovation in vision, fracture prevention, blockchain in healthcare, and eating disorders.

Jan-Philipp Beck, CEO of EIT Health, Jorge Fernández García, Director of Innovation of EIT Health and Alexander von Gabain, Chair of the Supervisory Board of EIT Health e.V. joined the meeting as high-level guests.
